Nebraska continued its dominance against the ISU volleyball team on Saturday, April 6, 2013, winning 3-0 in Lincoln, Neb.

The win for the Huskers (2-0) increased their all-time lead in the series to a staggering 81-2 advantage.

The Cyclones (1-1) fell in three sets to the Huskers, 25-20, 26-24, 27-25, en route to their first loss of the spring season.

Mackenzie Bigbee and Andie Malloy were the only Cyclones to reach double-digits in kills, finishing the night with 13 apiece. Bigbee also picked up 13 digs for Iowa State, second on the team behind Kristen Hahn’s 17.

Jenelle Hudson led the Cyclones in assists by a wide margin, picking up 37 of the teams 44 total. Victoria Hurtt led Iowa State with four blocks, including one solo block.

Despite an advantage in kills, digs and assists on Saturday, the Cyclones were edged in both blocks and aces served, which ended up being the difference in the match.

Iowa State will return home next weekend for three matches on Saturday, April 13, against Nebraska-Omaha, Northern Iowa and Minnesota.
