Cyclones in fourth after day one of Big 12 Championships

After day one of tournament play at the Big 12 Championships, the Cyclones have proved that they’re ready to win.

The No. 27 ISU women’s golf team opened the tournament firing a strong, three-round score of 320 to climb to fourth place.

Senior Punpaka Phuntumabamrung led the Cyclones with 77, just slightly over par and currently sits in fifth place. Junior Sasikarn On-Iam, junior Prima Thammaraks and freshman Casja Persson all shot a total of 81 for the day and rest in a three way tie for 15th.

No. 22 Texas Tech leads they way with 316 followed closely by No. 17 Oklahoma State with 317.

The tournament will resume Saturday at 8 a.m.
