Swimming and diving team defeated by Illinois

The swimming and diving team huddles up before the dual swim meet against Nebraska and South Dakota on Friday, Oct. 26, at Beyer Hall. Iowa State defeated South Dakota 246-53 but fell to Nebraska 122.5-176.5.

The ISU swimming and diving team was defeated by Illinois in its first meet of the new year Friday. The team lost 194-106, falling to 2-4 on the season in dual meets.

Freshman Elyse Brouillette broke the 300-mark with her personal best of 300.08 on the 3-meter board to earn first place. Brouillette is on the ISU all-time top 10 list for diving in three categories.

Sophomore Amanda Paulson set an ARC Pool record with a time of 23.36 in the 50-freestyle.
