Over two months after associate head coach Jack Easley left the ISU women’s basketball staff, head coach Bill Fennelly has named a replacement.

Fennelly announced Friday that Jodi Steyer, who has been on Fennelly’s staff at Iowa State for 10 years as an assistant coach, will take over Easley’s role. Steyer first coached with Fennelly in 1989 when the two were at Toledo.

After leaving in March following nine seasons with the team, Easley was hired by Oklahoma State in May as its director of player development.

To fill Steyer’s spot on the staff, Billy Fennelly, the head coach’s son, will take over as an assistant coach after two years on ISU staff coordinating video operations and serving as the player development director.

Fennelly also announced Pete Link will be the women’s basketball program’s primary strength and conditioning instructor. Link has been with the athletic department for four years as the strength and conditioning coach for Cyclone Olympic sports.

The Cyclones went 18-13 during the 2011-12 season, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth consecutive season under Fennelly.
