With just two months before the season gets underway, the ISU volleyball team has released its fall 2012 schedule. Far from easy, the Cyclones will have a challenging season opener and season at that.

This season the Cyclones will travel south to the Comcast Lady Vol Classic in Knoxville, Tenn., where the squad will face a familiar opponent, Florida State, who the Cyclones lost to in the NCAA quarter finals last season.

After taking on the team that bested them last year, the Cyclones will only have an increase in competition caliber. The women will later take on the NCAA runner-up, Illinois.

As the season progresses, the Cyclones will match up against a total of 10 NCAA tournament teams from the 2011-12 season, as well as seven teams that were ranked in the RPI top-10 at the end of the year.

The Cyclones will host their home opener against Northern Iowa on Sept. 5.

Old conference adversary Nebraska will return to Hilton Coliseum on Sept. 15, and newly added conference foes Texas Christian and West Virginia will be in Ames on Sept. 29 and Oct. 10, respectively.

The regular season will come to a close with two road match-ups against conference opponents West Virginia and Baylor and finally senior night against Texas on Nov. 24.
