Lied Recreation Athletic Center will be home to many track and field athletes this weekend not only for present runners, but as well as a runner from the past.

ISU alumna Lisa Uhl, formally known as Lisa Koll, will be competing at the Last Chance NCAA Qualifier meet this weekend in order to prepare herself for Olympic contentions.

Uhl has one of the most impressive resumes to come out of Iowa State. As an athlete at Iowa State, Uhl has claimed four national titles, four Big 12 titles and numerous school and national records.

This weekend, Uhl will set her sights on the 3,000-meter run in order to continue her preparation for the U.S. Olympic Trials in June.

Uhl’s stop in Ames will be a short one before she continues on competing in other races in California and Oregon. In between competition, Uhl will be conditioning for each future race through the spring and summer.

Uhl will be running the 3,000-meter run Saturday at Lied.
