The ISU tennis team defeated Drake 5-2 on Friday night to improve its record to 3-8 for the season.

The match was in support of breast cancer awareness and the ISU tennis team donned pink shirts for the cause.

The Cyclones started off on the right foot in doubles play, sweeping all three matches for the first time this season. Iowa State got wins from the teams of Jenna Langhorst and Maria Fernanda Macedo, Simona Cacciuttolo and Ksenia Pronina and Tessa Lang and Marie-Christine Chartier.

The team also got wins in four of the six singles spots from Langhorst, Macedo, Cassens and Cacciuttolo.

With the loss Drakes record falls to 11-3, which is still one of the best records the Bulldogs have had in years.

The Cyclones will travel to Houston to take on Houston on Monday and Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday.
