How the Big 12 is financed

Financially, the Big 12 lies fourth in the big six conferences with a total of $103.1 million. Of this sum, $57 million comes from TV contracts, $32.2 million from bowl games, $27.3 million from the NCAA, 11.1 from conference championships and $424,623 from royalties and licensing.

All of the revenue is divided evenly between the schools, except for the TV money, which is divided in half: The first half is distributed evenly, and the other half is divided between the schools according to TV appearances.
