The westbound lanes of 13th Street, from Stange Road to Hyland Avenue, have been closed and traffic rerouted into a divided eastbound lane for construction.

Beginning Monday morning, the westbound lanes of 13th Street were marked to be torn up. After the section of the road is re-paved, traffic will be routed onto the westbound lanes as they repeat the process on the eastbound section. 

The entire project is expected to be completed in mid-August, according to a press release from the city of Ames.
