CEDAR FALLS (AP) — Northern Iowa quarterback Pat Grace will be out several weeks with a knee injury.

That’s according to his father, Mark Grace, who talked with his son on Sunday after he underwent an MRI.

Grace was injured in Saturday’s 23-13 win over North Dakota State at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. He threw for 149 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game in the second half.

Mark Grace says his son has a torn MCL in the right knee, and he feared he’d be out for the season. His father say hopefully he’ll return to action, maybe in three weeks.

Northern Iowa is 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
