After 90 minutes of intense soccer, the Iowa State soccer team found itself locked in a scoreless draw with the No. 16 Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Mo.

But just two minutes into the first overtime, freshman Jordan Bishop broke the tie with her third goal of the season to give the Cyclones (8-5-3, 4-3-1 Big 12) their first conference road victory of the season.

The Iowa State win, along with Oklahoma’s overtime loss to Colorado, clinched the Cyclones a place in next month’s Big 12 Tournament. Iowa State clinched positioning over Nebraska with the win, and held positioning over Baylor coming into the game.

Despite being out shot by Missouri, 20-11, in the match, Iowa State was able to stay in the game as goalkeeper Ann Gleason made seven saves in recording her sixth shutout of the year.

Next up for Iowa State is a trip to Lawrence, Kan., to take on the Jayhawks (5-9-4, 3-2-3 Big 12) on Sunday at 1 p.m. Kansas defeated Nebraska, 3-1, on Friday night. With a victory against Kansas, the Cyclones would clinch at least the No. 7 seed in the Big 12 Tournament, begins November 7 in San Antonio.
