After year’s wait, Moses gets contract

Former Cyclone star J.J. Moses, above, has signed a two-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moses joined the Chiefs developmental team on Nov. 21 and originally signed with the team in April of 2001 but he was released before the regular season.

Moses was also briefly on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad.

Moses was a triple-threat for the Cyclones, finishing his career with 82 receptions for 1,226 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed 73 times for 405 yards and three more scores.

Moses was named to the All-Big 12 team because of his punt returning. He returned 45 punts for 411 yards and 43 kickoffs for 950 yards.
