Marcus Fizer was reunited with former ISU head coach Tim Floyd Wednesday night when the Chicago Bulls selected him with the fourth pick in the first round of the NBA Draft.

Fizer will join a Chicago Bulls team consisting of former ISU guard Fred Hoiberg and co-Rookie of the Year Elton Brand. The Bulls also possess enough salary-cap space to be an active participant in the free-agent market.

Fizer left Iowa State following his junior season in which he led Iowa State into the Elite Eight before the team bowed out to Michigan State. He powered Iowa State to a 32-4 record and a Big 12 regular season and tournament championship. The Cyclones finished the season ranked No. 6 by The Associated Press and No. 7 in the USA Today/ESPN polls.

In his junior season at Iowa State, Fizer became Iowa State’s first consensus All-American.

He was also runner-up to Cincinnati’s Kenyon Martin, who went first in Wednesday’s draft, for the Wooden Player of the Year award.
