There can be only one

A few comments about Conor Bezane’s review of the Less Than Jake show.

It seems you didn’t like that most of the kids didn’t know some of their indie label songs.

Maybe instead of checking for tickets at the door, they should ask a few quick questions about Less Than Jake just to see if the concert-goer is actually worthy of seeing the show.

Maybe it should have been just All? Only “true” punks know who they are.

That would’ve gotten rid of all the clueless 15-year-old bleach-haired, pierced-nose punks who were there anticipating Less Than Jake.

Though Less Than Jake were just learning their ABC’s when All started playing, you were still jamming out to New Kids on the Block in your IOU clothes.

I’m sorry All fans didn’t make much of an appearance, but Less Than Jake was the headlining band, right?

Ames didn’t even know what punk was when the All/Descendants family started playing punk, so why would there be All fans there anyway?

WAKE UP! You reside in Ames where there are only 15-year-old punks and college boys. “Real” punks don’t go to college.

I guess there are the few of us punks that actually go to college who have to read your lame articles about the few good shows that actually make it up to Ames. No wonder this place has no punk scene.
