SUB still taking heat over office space

Student organizations will begin moving into their new office spaces this week, the Student Union Board announced at its Monday night meeting.

The announcement follows weeks of bickering over allotted space, a debate that’s apparently not over yet at least for some minority groups.

SUB members will meet at a later date about a letter received from minority groups claiming unfair treatment. Timothy Foley, SUB films director, offered to bring minority groups he knows of that are happy with their office spaces to the meeting.

However, Jay Joblinske, SUB vice president, said he felt that was unnecessary. “I think we all know the letter is not exactly true,” he said.

The new Student Office Space contract was unanimously passed. A committee was formed to write a policy regarding receptionists, keys and access times for the office spaces. For the moment, one key will be provided to organization presidents.
