An Iowa State student suffered from an alcohol overdose Thursday night and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Steven Juon, 21, 1435 Helser Hall, was treated at the Mary Greeley Medical Center emergency room and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The ISU Department of Public Safety received an emergency call shortly after 11 p.m., said Jerry Stewart, DPS associate director. Juon had apparently been drinking in the residence hall.

“He went home for the weekend and he’s recovered,” Juon’s roommate, David Eckert, said Sunday.
