AMES — Amidst the spring volleyball season, Iowa State released its Big 12 schedule Thursday. The conference schedule features 18 games split evenly between home and away matches, marking nine games apiece.
Sept. 25 – at Texas Tech
The Cyclones kick off tournament play in Lubbock, Texas. Against Texas Tech, Iowa State holds a 16-12 record on the road.
Sept. 27 – vs. UCF
Iowa State returns to Hilton for the conference home opener to face UCF. At home vs. the Knights, the Cyclones hold a 2-0 record.
Oct. 2 – at Arizona
The Cyclones hit the Grand Canyon State to kick off a two-game series in the state. On the road vs. Arizona and Iowa State, the Cyclones have not won a game.
Oct. 4 – at Arizona State
Iowa State will remain in Arizona to take on the Sun Devils two days after facing the Wildcats. On the road vs. Arizona State, Iowa State is 0-2 and looks to reinvent itself in the Sonoran Desert.
Oct. 9 – vs. Kansas State
The Cyclones will return to Ames to take on the Wildcats, looking to rebound from getting swept 3-0 in last season’s regular-season finale at home. At home vs. Kansas State, Iowa State is 28-16.
Oct. 11 – at Cincinnati
Iowa State will hit the road for its first of two matches vs. Cincinnati. The Cyclones hold a 1-1 record in away games vs. the Bearcats.
Oct. 15 – vs. Colorado
Similar to Cincinnati, Iowa State will take on Colorado for its first of two matches against the Buffaloes. At home, the Cyclones are 10-16 and look to rebound from taking 1-3 sets in two straight seasons vs. Colorado.
Oct. 17 – vs. Utah
The Cyclones will face the Utes one time in the regular season at home. Iowa State is 1-1 at home vs. Utah and looks to carry its one-game series streak into the 2026 season.
Oct. 25 – at Houston
Iowa State opens its series against Houston on the road. The Cyclones are 2-2 on the road vs. the Cougars and look to dial in the energy from the last meeting to pick up back-to-back road wins.
Oct. 30 – vs. West Virginia
The Cyclones will meet with the Mountaineers once during the season at home. While at Hilton Coliseum, Iowa State is 13-1; the last home loss dates back to the 2021 season.
Nov. 1 – vs. Kansas
Iowa State will continue its homestand to host Kansas. At home, the Cyclones are 33-14 and look to break their five-game losing streak vs. the Jayhawks.
Nov. 5 – at UCF
The Cyclones return to the road to hit Orlando, Florida, to face the Knights in the second matchup of the season. On the road, Iowa State is 0-1 and picked up that loss last season.
Nov. 7 – vs. BYU
Iowa State will return to Ames and face BYU. At home, the Cyclones are 0-1 and are still in search of a victory over the Cougars.
Nov. 15 – vs. Cincinnati
Continuing the homestand, the Cyclones will host the Bearcats in the second meeting between the two teams. At home, Iowa State is 2-0 with its last home victory coming in the 2024 season.
Nov. 2o at Baylor
Iowa State will begin its first of three games against Conference foes based in Texas. This will be the sole regular-season meeting between the Cyclones and Bears. On the road, Iowa State is 14-16.
Nov. 22 at TCU
The Cyclones will remain in Texas to take on the Horned Frogs. While in Fort Worth, Iowa State is 10-4. The Cyclones’ last road victory vs. the Horned Frogs goes back to a sweep in the 2023 season.
Nov. 25 – vs. Houston
Iowa State will host its final home game against Houston, which marks the second meeting between the two. At home, the Cyclones are 0-1 and look to leave the home crowd with a rebounding victory.
Nov. 27 – at Colorado
The Cyclones will close out the regular season with the second meeting against the Buffaloes. On the road, Iowa State is 6-20. The Cyclones’ last road victory over the Buffaloes dates back to the 2010 season.
