A worldwide Christian missionary service is coming to Ames Nov. 3 to offer a night prayer service and evangelical mission training the following morning.

The group is called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). YWAM claims to have over 1,100 mission bases in more than 180 countries around the globe according to the their website. The event is called Bring the Kingdom and will be led by YWAM’s Kansas City, Missouri chapter.

The events are to be held at Harvest Vineyard Church on 17th Street. The night prayer service takes place at 7 p.m. on Friday and the mission training is scheduled for 10 a.m. the following morning.

The training is meant to instruct potential youth missionaries “to overcome obstacles that hinder us from sharing our faith and live a life of complete surrender to Jesus,” according to the Bring the Kingdom event page.
