Spring Fun Runs
The Run for the Sun 5k was held March 5 at 10:00 a.m. Participants in the race ran or walked two loops that covered the majority of the interior of campus. Despite the chilly weather many of the race members dressed in colorful and beach themed attire. The race was held by the Enactus chapter, formerly SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), at Iowa State University.

The weather is continuously getting warmer, which provides an amazing opportunity to run outside. Yet often times, it is hard to find the motivation to workout. However, with the extra push of a race to participate in, many people are able to motivate and encourage themselves to run regularly and train for the race. The Ames area has numerous races that the general public and Iowa State students can participate in this spring.

All of these races are located in an easy driving distance from Ames. Additionally, most races have a very reasonable cost. Use these events for motivation to go running and get in shape this semester!
