Quarterback Grant Rohach has been granted his release from Iowa State and will transfer to play at another school, ISU football announced on Tuesday.

Rohach, who spent all 2015 between second-string and third-string quarterback, had most of his collegiate playing time in 2013. He appeared in seven games and started the final four. He amassed 1,208 passing yards and completed 110-of-191 passing attempts. He added on eight passing touchdowns.

Entering 2014, Rohach was part of a quarterback battle between Sam Richardson and Joel Lanning. Richardson eventually won that battle.

Rohach started his final game as a Cyclone in a 34-14 loss to Kansas last season and threw for 275 yards and 25-of-50 passing.

Rohach will be entering his redshirt junior season.
