A satirical drama film exploring racial identity in America will be shown tonight as part of Black History Month. 

“Dear White People” will show at 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at 101 Carver Hall for free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The film, released in 2014, follows the stories of four black students at an Ivy League college. Controversy breaks out after white students throw an offensive black-face party.

Hosted by the Student Union Board, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs and the Iowa State Black History Month Committee.
