Tsalmpouris finds court time and fan praise against Texas Tech

Iowa State trounced Texas Tech, laying a 37-point defeat on the Red Raiders on Feb. 7 at Hilton.

The beat down allowed ISU coach Fred Hoiberg to disperse minutes all the way to the end of his bench, a process that began with more than seven minutes remaining in the game.

The loudest cheer of the evening came for freshman big man Georgios Tsalmpouris after he drove across the lane and finished a left-handed hook shot to the delight of the ISU faithful.

Even walk-on Daniel Stensland found himself in the game in the late going, as the ISU victory was literally a 12-man effort.
