The indoor season will not feature two-time NCAA and Big 12 champion shot putter Christina Hillman. Instead, Hillman won’t see her first competition until the outdoor season.

Hillman has a career best mark of 59’6.75” in the event and hopes this will be the year she reaches the 60 mark.

“[I’ve been working on] strength gains and what I can do,” Hillman said. “I’ve been taking a little break in throwing recently, but I think overall in the end it’s going to help me when I’m looking toward outdoor season. That’s my main goal right now — focusing on the outdoor.”

Besides getting a personal record in the event, Hillman also said she hopes to hope to perform well at nationals and at the USA Outdoor Championships in June.

The 2015 outdoor season will be Hillman’s last as a Cyclone.
