Luke Manderfeld

Cyclone Hockey completed a two-game sweep over Illinois on Jan. 10 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena with a 4-2 win.

Here are the three stars of the game:

1. Trevor Lloyd, Cyclone forward: Lloyd continued his hot streak by assisting on a goal and scoring a goal of his own in the winning effort.

2. Joseph DeLuca, Cyclone forward: DeLuca tallied the first goal of the night, capitalizing on a few too many rebounds allowed by Joe Olen, the Illinois goaltender.

3. Jake Bruhn, Cyclone forward: Bruhn scored the fourth goal for the Cyclones and gave his team a cushion. He was also a +2.

Cyclone Hockey will return to action at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the University of Ohio.
