Men, stay warm and look cool with these winter accessories

Christian Dahl

The cold mornings and harsh winds are here to stay. With that said, fight through the flurries on the way to class and look good while doing it with a few affordable, basic accessories.

First, we have our hats. Regardless of the hairdo one is sporting, this time of the year, covering the dome up is imperative. Beanies and stocking caps seem to be the go-to winter hat for most, and rightfully so. With countless designs, styles, and brands to choose from, you can find one of these just about everywhere. For a different look, the leather aviator hat will keep you warm and is a nice switch up from what you will see across campus.

As far as gloves go, there are multiple routes to choose from. The first would be a sleek pair of leather gloves. Since they functional, durable, and look good these would be tough to pass up. A close second would have to be choppers. These large, leather mitts may be less functional than some, but there is no way you are going cold in these.

Lastly, let us take a look at scarves. While some, for whatever reason, refuse to wear scarves, this may be the most key piece this time of year. Even if you have a beard like James Harden, keeping one of these around is still advised. Not only will they keep your neck and face warm, they can tie together almost any outfit seamlessly. Go for a heavy cable-knit for maximum warmth and durability.

Now that we have an idea on how to approach this seemingly unconquerable weather, let us get out there and enjoy it.
