Useful things to do in your spare time

1. organize photos on your laptop

This seems dull, and it really can be, but looking through old pictures can be a fun way to look back on past events. Plus, you’ll be organized and not so overwhelmed when you want to access your photos next time.

2. clean something you don’t usually clean

For example, clean up your stove or wipe down the little area behind your toilet that no one ever feels like cleaning. Maybe wipe off your entertainment center or dust your fan. Anything helps and cleaning can be a relaxing and fulfilling thing to do when you want to be productive.

3. go through your clothes

We all know there are things in our closets that we never wear. Sorting through what you want and what you don’t is a good way to get organized and help you rediscover what you own. Also, if you have younger siblings, hand-me-downs are always a treat. If not, donating to GoodWill or selling your clothes to Plato’s Closet or something are options.

4. organize your car

It’s easy to get caught up in life and forget to keep yourself organized. Throwing things in a glovebox or center console is easy and convenient. Try going through those areas – as well as the trunk and backseat – and throwing out what you don’t need. Usually things kept in your car are there in case you need them, so it’s a good idea to have them ready when you do.

5. play with your hair, makeup, clothes

Whether you’re a guy or a girl, it can be fun and effective to mess around with your look. Trying out different styles or combinations can give you a new appearance and might make you feel better about yourself. You never know, maybe there’s a hidden, awesome thing in your closet or vanity.
