Getting into the spirit of Christmas can be hard when you are away from home and don’t have that evergreen with twinkling lights to wake up to each day. Here are some easy ways to spruce up your dorm or apartment to get some Christmas cheer spreading!

1. Get a small tree- Three foot trees are only $20 at WalMart and this will automatically bring some holiday cheer to your space.

2. Build a snowman- no not a real one. You can use your fridge or (like shown in the picture) your washer/dryer. Some construction paper and tape and you have an easy decoration.

3. Turn your cabinets into gifts- grab some wrapping paper and ribbon and wrap your kitchen cabinets to look like they should be under a Christmas tree, then you also have supplies to wrap your Christmas gifts for the family before you head home!

4. Make a wreath- this easy wreath is perfect for a dorm room, all you need are bows, a paper plate, and a stapler! Just cut out your wreath from the plate and staple those bows on (the sticky side wont stay on by itself).

5. Hang up some stockings- get some cheap stockings at Hobby Lobby or WalMart and decorate them with your roommate. Use a command hook to hang them easily and fill them with treats for your roommates as a Christmas surprise.
