The ISU soccer team began the weekend against Big 12 opponent, Texas on October 3.

Both teams exchanged shot for shot, and the first half ended in a scoreless defensive battle.

With 17:42 remaining in the second half, Texas scored to go ahead, 1-0.

The Cyclones began to get a sense of urgency with ten minutes remaining in the game. They tried to manage the ball by keeping it on the ISU half, but the Longhorns seemed to remain in control throughout.

The final score ended in Texas’ favor, 1-0.

Iowa State will take on Oklahoma at 1 p.m.  Oct. 5 at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
