Cyclone football fans who have Dish Network TV no longer have to worry about not seeing Saturday’s ISU football game against North Dakota State because the network and Fox Sports 1 reached agreement on delivering the full programming lineup.

Dish and Fox were in negotiations because Dish would not pay Fox Sports 1 what it was asking to carry certain sporting events. An agreement was reached Thursday.

Customers with America’s Top 200 programming package or above will be able to watch all games televised on the network, including the first slate of games starting Aug. 28.

The Dish Network will air four games during the opening weekend of college football with Rutgers and Washington State scheduled for an 9 p.m. kickoff on Aug. 28.

ISU students who live in the residence halls would not have been affected because Iowa State’s cable provider, Mediacom, provides FOX Sports 1 in the residence halls’ cable package. Student who live in apartments and/or houses who have Dish Network would have been affected, however.

In a statement, DISH vice president of programming Josh Clark said:

“We are proud to deliver the most college football anywhere, at the best possible value.”
