Nine days after its last game at the Big 12 tournament, the Iowa State women’s basketball team finally learned its postseason fate.

The Cyclones (20-10) were selected as a No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament on Monday night and will face No. 10 seed Florida State on Saturday in the first round at Hilton Coliseum. The game is slated to begin at 3 p.m. and be televised on ESPN2.

Should Iowa State advance to the second round, the game will also be played at Hilton, with the Cyclones taking on the winner of the game between No. 2 seed Stanford and No. 15 seed South Dakota.

With Monday’s selection, Iowa State has now received an NCAA tournament in eight consecutive seasons. The Cyclones have earned a trip to the tournament 15 times under the direction of coach Bill Fennelly.
