Iowa State continues its success against Indiana

The Cyclone Hockey team was hoping to continue in its success against Indiana in its second away series of the season on Friday. 

After goals from junior forward Jon Feavel and sophomore forward James Buttermore, the Cyclones took the lead. Indiana added one goal to set the score at 2-1 heading into the second period. Junior goalie Scott Ismond made 10 saves on 11 shots in the first.

Iowa State came out firing in the second period, scoring on two early goals by freshman defender Matt Szpak and sophomore forward Trevor Lloyd. The Cyclones finished out the second period with the 4-1 lead. Ismond stood at 22 saves on 23 shots after the second.

Freshman forward Scott Antonsen added another goal in the third, and the Cyclones came out with the victory.

Iowa State faces off against Indiana again Saturday in Indiana at 1:30 p.m.
