The Government of the Student Body will be having a joint meeting with the Ames City Council and the Ames mayor Wednesday night.

GSB will be voting on four bills: “Funding for Catalyst Publication,” “Funding Model United Nations,” “Election Commission Bylaw Update” and “Funding for WinterFest.”

Catalyst is asking that $2,050 be allocated to the organization for their December publications which they would use for printing and delivery.

The Model United Nations is looking to be allocated $1,262.48 to pay for the rental of a passenger van, parking, conference and delegation fees for the American Model United Nations International Conference in Chicago.

The Election Commission has updated their bylaws and are looking to have the senate approve the changes. The bylaw changes pertain to campaign expenses and their definition, debate procedure, and the number of signatures needed to get on the executive ticket.

WinterFest is coming to GSB looking for $2,850 for snow globes, rental of the Memorial Union Underground, crafts, ice skating at the ice arena, snowman crafts and a Grandma Mojo’s performance.

There will also be first reads for the Special Allocations Recommendations.
