ISU basketball player Tyrus McGee will be punished within the team after he was arrested Sept. 22, the athletic department confirmed Sunday in an email to the Daily.

McGee was charged by Ames Police at 8:50 p.m. Sept. 22 with the misdemeanor of providing alcohol to a minor. He could face a year in prison or a $2,000 fine. 

Last year McGee averaged 7.7 points per game in his junior campaign.
