Getting the perfect shade of hair that accentuates your features can be tricky and expensive. Spending lots of money at the salon to go a shade lighter not only hurts your pockets but your locks too.

If you are looking to going a shade or two lighter, a healthier, more natural alternative is right in your kitchen. Raw honey and cinnamon together produce a natural hydrogen peroxide agent, which over time can lighten your hair.

Mix two parts raw honey and one part cinnamon in your favorite deep conditioner and let it sit for a couple hours.

Apply the treatment in sections to insure the hair is coated evenly throughout. It will lighten your hair about half a shade with each treatment.  This trick will leave your hair smelling good enough to eat and so soft you won’t be able to keep your hands out of it.
