The Government of the Student Body will talk about funding three clubs’ requests on Wednesday night.

The first bill, titled, “Solving Rubik’s Cube Club’s Funding Request,” is a request to fund the club $2,162.85 for new Rubik’s Cubes, tournament displays and funding to send the group to Fisher, Ind., on Nov. 5, according to the bill.

The second bill is a request to allocate the Memorial Union $40,000 for two projects it is working on.

The projects are to improve the accessibility of the Memorial Union and to help fund the restoration of the fountain on the north side of the Union to working condition, according to the bill.

“It would be most beneficial for the Memorial Union to receive one lump sum of funding from GSB for both of these projects, as the cost of these projects will well exceed GSB funding regardless,” the bill states.

The third bill is for special allocations for fiscal year 2012.

Requests for special allocations came from Colleges Against Cancer, Trend Magazine, Iowa State Space Society, ISU Wrestling Club, ISU Recreational Hockey Club, SAE International, Team PrISUm, International Student Council and Up til’ Dawn.

The total amount for these requests adds up to $17,630.84.

According to the bill, there is $20,000 available for these student organizations, and over $35,000 was originally requested.

The group of the week at the meeting will be the Republic of Hope.
