Summary of events at GSB meeting

  • The Special Allocations budget has $20,000. GSB has started to

    refer groups back to finance comittee and decide weather things

    will be cut or if the group requests will be funded.

  • ISU skydiving wanted $3,220. GSB decided to allocate this money

    to them. The group has been showing rapid growth and the group

    hopes to help students with as much as they can regarding

    skydiving.

  • GSB has decided to fund $2,432.13 to the ISU Model United

    Nations car travel, lodging and registration fees so they can

    attend the American Model United Nations conference in

    Chicago.

  • A large amount of the Mexican-American Young Achievers Society

    showed up at the GSB meeting to convince the GSB senate to fund

    their advertising in the Daily. GSB senate decided to send the

    request to the finance committee and help decide whether to fund

    it.
