Two jumpers earn at-large bids

Iowa State’s Agata Kosuda and Priya Hoze each earned at-large bids to compete at next week’s at the women’s NCAA Outdoor Track Championships.

Kosuda, a junior, qualified in the triple jump with the 17th best leap in the country of 13.18 meters – .86 better than the qualifying measure of 12.32. Hoze, a senior, extended her career with the 22nd best long jump of 6.25 meters – .25 more than the qualifying mark.

Freshman Jenna Caffrey had the 26th time in the 100-meter hurdlers of 13.52 seconds, but earned an automatic exemption with a fifth-place finish at regionals. Senior Neil Hines, the only qualifier for the men’s track team, had the fourth best seed mark in the decathlon.
