Rec center open over break

To use the Lied Recreation Athletic Center this summer, some ISU students will have to bring their student ID and either cash, check or charge.

All students enrolled in the summer term will continue to have free access to the university’s recreation facilities and programs, but others must pay the $24 continuing program fee.

Each semester, all registered students pay the student activity fee, so nonstudents in the summer are required to give a similar payment.

Facilities also close earlier during the summer than during the fall and spring semesters. The Lied Recreation Athletic Center is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, doors open at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., respectively, and stay open until 10 p.m. Beyer Hall’s hours are the same, except on Saturday when it is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Group fitness classes are available throughout the summer, and many trips are scheduled through the outdoor recreation department.
