Confidence is riding high with the ISU women’s golf team. Coming off of winning performances the last two weeks, the team is preparing for next week’s Big 12 Preview. “They seem to be gelling very well,” said Coach Julie Manning. “They have matured quickly and become a very competitive team.” Top place finishes in Cedar Falls and Flagstaff, Ariz. have the `Clones very ready to challenge this tough conference. “I think that our wins will give us that edge over other teams,” said sophomore Laura Wells. “I think it’s tremendous momentum,” said Manning. “We’re going down to Waco expecting to win.” Thanks to top performances by many of the squad’s golfers, the Cyclones are confident in their ability to play with the upper-eschelon of Big 12 teams.
