Church’s ‘Revelation’ program to focus on hope

An Ames church is attempting to bring a “Revelation” to community members.

Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1303 Grand Ave., will be showing the “Revelation of Hope” for the next five weeks.

The presentations will focus on unveiling world events, attempting to match them with events predicted in the Bible’s Book of Revelations.

Mark Finley, speaker-director of the “It is Written” international television program, will be speaking at the presentations, which will be broadcast via satellite from Los Angeles, said Treva Martsching, cleric at the church.

“This will be going to audiences in Russia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Ghana, Brazil and all cities throughout America,” Martsching said. “It goes around the world with revelations of hope found in the Bible prophecy.”

The series will start tonight at the church with a one-hour seminar at 7:15 and will continue with sessions every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday through April 5.

“The first one will be Predictions for a New Millennium, and then Revelation’s Greatest End-Time Signs and the third one will be Revelation’s Biggest Surprise. And, of course, there’ll be many others,” she said.

Martsching said she is glad the church will be able to show the programs.

“The church feels like they need to be presenting these truths to the public, and it’s just really a privilege that we can do it,” she said.

Martsching said the presentations are not just for Seventh Day Adventists — anyone is welcome to attend.

“I would say it would definitely be very important in this time and age for people to come and listen,” she said.
