7 Brew Coffee is a widely appreciated drive-thru coffee chain with over 300 locations across the U.S. The company has been greatly expanding over the past couple of years, with over 120 locations opening just in 2024. So naturally, students and Ames residents have wondered when 7 Brew will decide to open a location in Ames, however, that day may not be as far away as you think.
At this time, 7 Brew has not officially announced any plans for a location in Ames. The Ames Regional Economic Alliance, an organization that “promotes economic growth and community development across Central Iowa,” according to their website, was also unable to confirm the possible location.
“We are unable to comment about projects that may or may not be looking at our area for investment before a public announcement has been made,” the Ames Regional Economic Alliance told the Daily.
However, there is still reason to believe that the demolition of the old Express Signs location at 3615 Lincoln Way will be for the development of a 7 Brew Coffee.
Ames Demolition, a public Facebook group with over 5,500 members that was created to “share and discuss articles, rumors, and want lists for developments in Ames,” reposted an update from another Facebook account called “Gray Beard Drones LLC” on March 24. It included aerial photos of the construction site. The Gray Beard Drones LLC’s Facebook page has posted a video of the demolition and tagged “DeCarlo Demolition Company” on the post.
DeCarlo Demolition is the demolition company that is in charge of the demolition, and on their Facebook page, they reposted the demolition video from Gray Beard Drones LLC.
“Take it down to build it back up! Revitalizing a site in Ames for a new 7 Brew! Thanks Gray Beard Drones LLC for the amazing shots!” the repost stated on March 24.
However, there is no official confirmation from 7 Brew or the Ames Regional Economic Alliance about a 7 Brew location opening in Ames.
