Add another honor to senior libero Caitlin Nolan’s award list.

Nolan, who was an All-American last year, was selected to the 2015 Big 12 Preseason Volleyball team Thursday by fellow Big 12 coaches. She was one of five players who were unanimously selected to the squad.

This honor follows a 2014 season in which Nolan was named All-Big 12 and the 2014 Big 12 Libero of the year. In 2014, Nolan was the 11th player under current ISU head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch to be named to the All-American team. Not only did Nolan receive All-American honors last year, but she also extended ISU’s streak of a player winning Big 12 Libero of the Year to seven.

Nolan looks to build off a 2014 season in which she ranked top in the Big 12 with 5.74 digs per set as she and the rest of her Iowa State teammates open their season at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 against the Dayton Flyers at home.
