Blush is the new black

Mariah Wellman

Blush pink has been all over the runway and street style. It is no longer just for little girls’ Easter dresses or ladies who brunch. Blush is a neutral that can be paired with almost any color, even blush itself.

Blush with neutrals

Pair blush with other neutrals like white and beige. The all-over neutral look is perfect for spring, as women are always looking for ways to lighten up their wardrobes. Pick up a plain top in a blush pink and pair it with anything from a white skirt to wide-leg beige pants. Top off each look with cognac wedges and statement earrings.

Blush with brights

Take your blush pieces from spring to summer by pairing them with brights. Make sure to keep all of the pieces solid, as to not distract from the overall look. Pick up a bright yellow blazer and pair it with a blush dress. Take the same blush dress and rock some cobalt blue shoes.

Matching sets are all over contemporary fashion, from high to low price points. Blush pairings, like a high-waisted skirt and crop top, go perfectly with sandals for a trip to the farmer’s market. Try pairing the matching set with a cream, leather jacket and rock it for evening.
