Wide receiver Jake Rhoads and defensive lineman Terry Ayeni were arrested and held overnight at the Story County jail. The two were arrested in separate incidents just hours after Saturday’s annual spring game, held at Jack Trice Stadium.

Rhoads, a redshirt sophomore and the son of ISU coach Paul Rhoads, was charged with public intoxication on Saturday, according to the Story County jail website. Ayeni, a redshirt junior, was charged with disorderly conduct about 2 a.m. Sunday.

As of Sunday morning, both were still in jail awaiting a hearing.

“We are aware of the situations involving our student-athletes,” ISU coach Paul Rhoads said in a statement. “We are now in the process of gathering more facts and information.”
