Spring bootie trends

Riley Dunbar

Booties were one of winter’s most important staples but where is the most loved shoe supposed to go when the weather warms up? Nowhere. Booties are back for another season and the trends are even better than before. With spring at our doorstep, here are the booties you need this season.

Colored Booties

Black and brown were great for fall, but spring has a new star: the colored bootie. Perfect for spring’s soft color palette, baby blue and soft pink booties have been spotted by 3.1 Phillip Lim and on the Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 runway. The classic black and white combo also makes for a fresh bootie that is right on trend.

Suede Booties

Suede is a huge trend this season, so it only makes sense to wear it in bootie form as well. One can go for safe neutrals or go bold with colored suede. Pair it with fringe for a full 70s vibe or let the shoes shine with a simple cuffed skinny jean and a classic top.

Cutout Booties

Warmer days might have one feeling cautious about wearing booties, but cutout booties are the perfect mix of cool and chic. When it comes to the cutout, there are options. Go with peep-toe to show off a fresh pedicure, heel cutouts for a more subtle show or side cutouts for the ultimate winter to spring crossover shoe.

Regardless of style or color, booties are a great transitional shoe for spring. Wear it with classic cuffed jeans, a spring dress or edgy skater skirt. Rock your booties in style all spring.
