ISU women’s track, field takes two titles in first outdoor meet

The ISU women’s track and field team traveled to Tempe, Ariz. for its first action of the outdoor season. 

Senior Kendra White continued her success in the 400-meter from the indoor season by taking first place at the Baldy Castillo Invitational.

Freshman Jhoanmy Luque earned the team’s second title in the triple jump, placing first with a mark of 41-01.25. Luque also took second place in the long jump. 

Redshirt seniors Anna Holtermann and Kayla Sanborn finished 13th and 21st, respectively, in the hammer throw. 

The team will next compete in the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala. and the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. on April 3 and 4.
