Concert wear on campus

Mackenzi Tjarks

Whether you are going to see performers at the M-Shop or at Stephens Auditorium, there’s a possibility of standing outside. One might wonder how to dress for standing in line outside, followed by jamming out while surrounded by students inside the venue.

A popular trend that is still going strong is tying a sweatshirt or a plaid shirt around your waist. When outside, wear the sweatshirt or plaid button down and once inside, tie it around your waist. Pair your button down with the band’s T-shirt to instantly create a stylish outfit for a concert.

If tying a shirt around your waist isn’t your style, try pairing boots with your outfit instead of sneakers or flats. Wearing boots keeps your feet warmer than most other shoes and in turn help keep heat from escaping your body while standing outside. Throw on a leather jacket to add an edgy vibe.

If you know you’re going to be standing outside for a long period of time, incorporate cute winter accessories like hats and scarves into your outfit. By incorporating these things you are not taking away from your outfit, but simply adding to it.

Remember to always check the outside temperature and be aware of the venue before getting dressed, so you know what is appropriate to wear. Remember, the most important thing is to be confident, enjoy the concert and wear what makes you comfortable.
