Day two of the Iowa State Classic featured multiple personal records and even an ISU program record for the ISU women’s track and field team.

ISU senior Kendra White broke her own school record in the 400-meter dash, which she had set a little more than a year ago at the Bill Bergan Invitational. White finished third overall in the event with a 53:81 time.

Senior Katherine DeSimone set a personal record in the mile with a 4:56.29 time. In the 3000-meter, two more personal records were set by freshmen Olivia Robertson and Abby Caldwell. A fourth was set for the Cyclones in the 60-meter hurdles by junior Kaci Storm.

The 3000-meter saw four runners set top-15 times in the nation, including redshirt senior Katy Moen, who now sits 12th with a 9:12.78 time.

In the field events, freshman Jhoanmy Luque recorded the best triple jump mark, reaching 12.72 meters.

Next for the team is the UNI-Dome Open event on Feb. 20.
