ISU volleyball coach Johnson-Lynch to serve as President of AVCA

ISU volleyball coach Christy Johnson-Lynch has been selected by The American Volleyball Coaches of America [AVCA] to serve as President Elect of the AVCA Board of Directors.

Johnson-Lynch will assume the position on New Year’s Day of 2015.

Starting in 2016, she will serve as President for two calendar years and function in the role of Past President for one year after that.

“There are a lot of exciting and also challenging things happening in college athletics and college volleyball right now,” Johnson-Lynch said in a press release. “I am excited to be a part of the leadership at the AVCA, and hopefully contribute any way I can.”

Johnson-Lynch previously held a position on the AVCA All-American Committee from 2008-2010.
