ISU swimming & diving tacks on win against South Dakota

The ISU swimming & diving team was victorious for the second time early in the 2014-15 season with a 181-107 victory against South Dakota.

Iowa State set the tone for the match by finishing one, two, and three in the opening 200-yard medley relay.

Samantha Fossum, a South Dakota native, was strong in the 1000-yard free style for the Cyclones.

Ali Stearns and Megan Childs finished first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke for Iowa State.

Elyse Brouillette and Julie Dickinson placed second and third, respectively, in 3-meter diving.

Iowa State swept the 200-yard medley relay, 100 backstroke, 200 butterfly, 100 free style, 50 freestyle and 200 IM.

The ISU swimming & diving team will finish off its home stand against Nebraska-Omaha and North Dakota Oct. 31 in Beyer Hall.
